Hello and welcome. This is my first post and my attempt at making this site as informative as possible. So, what is yaoi? Yaoi is an acronym for yama nashi, ochi nashi, imi nahsi. Meaning, “no punch line, no climax, no meaning”. Over the years however, yaoi became a term used for stories that contained homosexual relationships. The interesting thing about yaoi, is that the characters may not be homosexual at all. It is possible that they’re two straight guys who are having sex with each other. They could be bisexual, it is important to understand that yaoi isn’t really about homosexuality. Yaoi isn’t without it’s controversy, of course there are people who do not like homosexuality, but hey I am merely trying to appeal to a subculture of young teenage girls and young women in their twenties. Which is the audience that yaoi is aimed.
