You may be familiar with the controversy surrounding well known mangaka, Youka Nitta. But many fans would like her to return to creating, I happen to be fan of her works. But people wonder if she should have quit?
What do you think?

It was quite a mistake she made and, although she did admit that she did it, it was probably too late to do so after doing it in the first place. The fact still remains that she has created a lot of wonderful manga and that she is a great artist and manga-ka. She traced the picture for the picture itself and not for lack of talent – not like someone like me would have had to do as I can’t really draw worth a damn in the first place! She is also a wonderful story teller and has a legion of fans who gets great enjoyement out of her works – fans that will only suffer if she ceases those stories and characters lives – and yes I know she’d suffer financially as well which isn’t the point.
To be short I don’t think she should have quit. She will be under a spotlight in the future because of this incident and it will probably be quite stressful but, maybe selfishly, I think she owes it to her fans to carry on. I also think that we can all forgive one mistake.
I am a fan so I am biased I know but we’ve forgiven many celebreties bigger mistakes than this so I’m willing to forgive someones work I enjoy and hope to see them back soon.
I hope this makes some kind of sense….:)

It does in fact. I’m surprised that many people still support her. Then at the same time you have people who feel the punishment was fitting. Personally for me, I wished she didn’t quit, but then again I also feel that it was her decision.
But hey, people are going to continue to read her works.
