People who are first introduced to anime would noticed that much of the anime in existence has quite a few girly men in them. This is partially due to the fact that these men exist for fanservice, but it’s not only fanservice. I think there are other reasons as to why androgyny exists in anime, but I won’t go into that with this post. This is actually meant to highlight some of my favorite girly men in anime.
Maximillion Pegasus (aka Pegasus J. Crawford)
Series: Yu Gi Oh, Yu Gi Oh GX, Yu Gi Oh: The Movie

He’s girly because of his effeminate appearance and his mannerisms. And the long hair only adds to this, and I mean come on he seems so camp.
And next we have:
Zoisite
Series: Sailor Moon

Now I know the story, originally Zoisite was a male character, but his sex was changed to female. I mean, honestly we can’t have two guys liking each other.
But in when Zoisite was male, he still behaved in an effeminate manner.
Sesshomaru
Series: Inuyasha

We all know Sesshomaru is a total badass, but we can’t deny that he at least looks girly men. Besides, some of the most effeminate men in anime have been some of the most admired badasses.
Sailor Starlights
Series: Sailor Moon

Duh!!! Guys who transform into girls.
If you have more girly men you’d like to share, please feel free to do so.

Yeah I wanted to recommend another manga that many yaoi fans would enjoy to read. I recommend La Esperanca by Chiyusa Kawai. I enjoyed reading it because I liked the characters, Georges is liked by just about everyone, he is essentially a teachers pet. However, another student named Robert becomes a student at his school, it would seem that he dislikes Georges, but it’s much more deeper than that. He is also fascinated by him. Without giving away too much of the plot, you may find the series to be intriguing, there’s lots of character development as well as issues the characters will ultimately have to confront. La Espernaca is really good for those yaoi fans who enjoy a wonderful plot than a nice hot steamy sex scene.
